Chamber Music Inspired by Mythology
live performances and interactive workshops
Mythos Project Boston lives at the intersection of times present and past, cultures near and far. We explore chamber music for flute and piano through recitals, interactive concerts, and workshops throughout the Boston area.
We are thrilled to be working on music inspired by mythology that combines many different traditions: ancient Greek myths through the ears of early 20th century French composers, a legend of Charlemagne as transcribed by a Venezuelan-born composer living in the United States, and an Argentinean composer reflecting on Andean myths of the Inca. All of these pieces are performed by two musicians in Boston for audiences who bring their own stories and cultures. We hope you can join us as we create conversation, build connections, and engage various communities in rich musical experiences.
Weronika Balewski and Elizabeth Chladil are Boston-based musicians who value the conversations between performers, audiences, and students. They are active as chamber musicians, instrumental teachers, and teaching artists.
